About USTad Puckett initially began raising exotic animals back in 1989 when he purchased his first American Bison. Five years later he purchased a large ranch near Gunnison, Colorado (elevation 8500’) and began raising exotic animals full time. He place the entire ranch in a conservation easement to protect and preserve it for future generations.
While in Colorado he raised White Buffalo, Yaks, White Elk and Reindeer. One of his Reindeer is now the World Record for all antlered animals. He also raised the largest Yak of all times and the largest Mt. Goat. He had the only herd of the rare European Bison at his Colorado ranch. He always had a love for wild sheep and began looking for a ranch to raise wild sheep and goats. After five years of looking, he found the perfect place in Western Nebraska. This ranch had it all. Plenty of water, heavy tree cover and lots of cliffs and deep canyons for the animals to hide in. The Colorado ranch was sold and the move made to the new ranch. All the other animals were sold so we could concentrate on the raising the biggest and best Sheep and Goat in the World. |
